PRESEASON: ADDED FIXTURE

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps for a few days, but now it’s time to let the excitement build.

Mark your calendars for a great addition to our preseason schedule. On Tuesday, July 23rd, under the bright lights, we will welcome Maidstone United to Homelands for what promises to be a great night of football.

The last time we faced Maidstone United was on Tuesday, July 18th, 2018. It was a preseason friendly that saw us on the losing end of a 5-0 scoreline. But times have changed for both teams, and this fixture carries the weight of history that goes way back to the early 1930’s.

The Nuts & Bolts have a storied record against The Stones. Our last victory against them was a dramatic 4-3 win on August 10th, 1989, in another preseason clash. Since our first encounter in the 1930/31 season, we’ve faced off 56 times, securing 30 wins, 8 draws, and 18 losses. We’ve scored 132 goals against their 101.
