JAMES DUNNE PUTS PEN TO PAPER

James Dunne Signs!

We are happy to announce this morning, that box to box Midfielder, James Dunne, has joined Ashford United from Chatham Town.

Another signing with an extensive playing career, of which most was spent in league one and two playing for Exeter City, Stevenage Town, Portsmouth, Dagenham & Redbridge, Cambridge United and Swindon Town.

During that period, James joined Scottish Premier League side, St Johnstone, on loan for one season (2013/14), where he won the Scottish Cup. St Johnstone’s first cup win in their first Scottish cup final, beating Dundee United 2-0.

Danny quoted “Dunne is an experienced player, a leader on and off the pitch.
He’s a good footballer, with an excellent football mind.
Having played a lot of football league games, he’s had a great career.
It’s great having Dunne on board after working with him last year. He will bring great value to the club”

James also has National League experience, having played for Barnet, Southend and Welling United, before joining Chatham Town.
