Time to Accelerate

A Wednesday Night Trek To Woodstock

Tonight’s game at Woodstock Sports gives United the chance to accelerate up the table following the very first loss last night of league leaders Erith and Belvedere to Corinthian losing by a 2-1 scoreline.

Corinthian for all teams in the scefl is a potential banana skin as that slope in the left hand corner of the pitch will wear out many a players stamina as they chase an unreachable ball as it speeds down the hill.

Ashford United have a very large amount of players for manager Paul Chambers to select his strongest team from  with only the long term injury pairing of Andy Irvine and James Everitt unavailable. Unusual for a mid week game, we shall see if a Wednesday night fixture will get the  Ashford faithful  fans trekking to the Woodstock ground tucked away between the A2 and the M2 motorway near Sittingbourne.

Push down that accelerator lads and close the gap on those London borough league leaders.
