Sam Corne becomes seventh United signing of Alexander reign

Posted in News on 6th June 2018 (3 weeks ago)

What a signing!

This afternoon we’re pleased to welcome our seventh signing of this Summer as 21 year-old Sam Corne joins the Nuts & Bolts.

The ex Welling United, and Braintree Town player joins from Greenwich Borough, and comes in having played with other recent signing Tom Carlse and of course gaffer Gary Alexander.

Alexander spoke told us earlier:

“Sam Corne is a player who I worked hard to get to Greenwich because of his ability and experience having played many games in the leagues above.”

“I’m delighted to say he’s back with me and I’m sure you’ll all join me in saying welcome on board Corney!”

Sam played in all 3 matches for Greenwich against Ashford United in 2017/2018, and scored against us in the home match when we lost 2-0 in the Velocity Trophy.

Sam is a centre midfielder, he made the second most appearances for Greenwich last season (43), scoring 5 goals in the process.

Welcome to Ashford, Sam!
