Match Preview: Shoreham A huge bottom of the table clash at Homelands This weekend, Saturday 30th December 2017, it’s our final match of the calendar year and it’s a big one! 3pm kick off, we welcome bottom of the table Shoreham FC to Kingsnorth as we witness 23rd vs 24th in this end of December battle for 3 points. After a great few days for the Nuts & Bolts, we will be going into the match as favourites for the win, but our players certainly won’t be complacent as they know how important this game is for the club. United have picked up 7 points out of a potential 15 in their last 5 league games, including 2 home wins against Thamesmead Town and more recently Sittingbourne. In those five matches, we have scored 11 goals, conceding the same amount, which included a 5-1 away loss to top of the table Lewes. Saturday’s visitors Shoreham, haven’t won a match in any competition since they beat us back on the 10th October at home, when they beat us 4-2. On Boxing Day they travelled away to Cray Wanderers and went home as they were thrashed 7-0. They’ve only scored 4 goals in their last 7 matches, conceding 20 in that time, they’ve drawn 2 games in that period. So we ourselves sit in 23rd position, on 16 points and a goal difference of -35, whilst Shoreham are in 24th on just 4 points (after their 6 point reduction) and a goal difference of -48. Get down to Homelands on Saturday (3pm kick off) and come and support the team! Come on you Nuts & Bolts!!!
