Match Preview: Herne Bay

Posted in News on 13th November 2017

Third time lucky?

For the third time already this season we take on Herne Bay as we welcome them to Homelands Stadium, on Tuesday 14th November 7.45pm kick off in the Bostik League South Division.

We took them on at the Altira Park stadium back in August and lost 2-0 in Jason Whitmore’s second game in charge with a very youthful side.

Our second game was a 3-0 away defeat in the league after very strange circumstances, scoring an unusual own goal to go 1-0 down and then having 2 penalties saved by the Bay keeper.

Whitmore will be looking for revenge and to make it third time lucky when we welcome the coastal side on Tuesday.

The visitor’s are currently side in mid table as they’re 13th place with 24 points, with a goal difference of 0. Their form has been quite inconsistent as their last 6 games has seen 3 wins and 3 losses, including an 8-1 away defeat against Lewes.

Herne Bay have scored in all of their last 7 games, scoring 15 in total, but conceding 22 in that time.

Our support was fantastic on Saturday and we hope our amazing fans can continue your brilliant atmosphere!
