Match Preview: Greenwich Borough

Posted in News on 2nd November 2017

A return to the DGS Stadium

This Saturday 4th November 2017 we travel away to Greenwich Borough FC in the Bostik League South Division 3pm kick off.

Having already taken on the Borough earlier this season, we will be looking for revenge after a 2-0 home defeat in the first round of the Velocity Sports Trophy.

Saturday’s hosts are in form, having won 5 of their last 8 games, though their recent match on Tuesday was a 4-1 away defeat to Dulwich Hamlet in the same competition that Greenwich knocked us out from.

Greenwich are performing excellently in the league this season and sit in 3rd place, with a goal difference of +16 just 5 points behind leaders Lewes FC.

Many United fans will know that legendary Nuts & Bolts shotstopper recently joined up with the South London side and has enjoyed 10 points from their last 4 league games including 2 clean sheets. In terms of goalscoring, Greenwich have only failed to score in 3 matches this season, against Corinthian-Casuals, Shoreham and Hanwell Town respectively.
