Burdon, 24, made it double figures (11) for goals and also notched 5 assists in his first full season with the club – taking massive strides under Tommy Warrilow in the process.

“Luke [Burdon] always works his socks off – he’s a very clever footballer and sometimes I feel like he doesn’t always get the credit he perhaps deserves.” Warrilow said.

“Not just his work ethic but he’s very aware of what’s going on around him when on the ball, so I am delighted he’ll be staying with us.

“With a good pre-season inside him he’ll be fired up to become a real handful up top alongside our other forwards.” He finished.

Speaking to the club website, the Ashford man believes the sky is the limit for the Nuts & Bolts.

“I am really glad to be staying with Ashford next season, it means a lot to be able to wear the shirt for my home town.” Burdon said.

“I’m ready to give it my all for this club and cannot wait to see what we are capable of achieving as a team. Up the Nuts and Bolts.” He finished.
