Match Preview: Kings Hill FC Pre-season continues tomorrow (Saturday 15th July) as we travel away to Kings Hill Sports Park to take on Kings Hill FC, 3pm kick off. Entry to the match tomorrow is FREE but the West Malling based club will be looking for any donations as they start their ground development. We caught up with manager Danny Lye in the build up to tomorrow’s match. “Well we have had 2 games now and lots of training sessions since we returned to preseason training. We try to be as diverse as we can with training and opponents to keep the boys enjoying it. We have trained at Mote Park where the boys tend not to like me too much as they have to do the bush run and then the oak tree run [which isn’t easy]. We have also trained on the pitch with balls and last night we had a boxing session put on by an ex boxer. With regards to the games, we had an enjoyable match against Margate on Tuesday which we all witnessed some well taken goals. This Saturday we play Kings Hill FC, a club trying to grow their senior sides. My son plays for Kings Hill under 12s, so it was a good game to organise for myself and Kings Hill Fc as they try to launch their new pitch. This game is also good for our younger players and trialists to play alongside 5 or 6 of our first team. We will see Botts (Botterill) and Avo (Avery) play for the first time this pre-season while we will also see the talented under 21 boys.” Address for the game tomorrow is: Kings Hill FC Kings Hill Sports Park Kings Hill West Malling Kent ME19 4QP It should be noted that access to the Sports Park is via residential streets and visitors should respect the speed limit and be mindful of children, cyclists, etc Ample Car parking is provided at the Sports Park, no parking in adjacent residential streets please.
