Match Preview: Herne Bay

We're back in the Kent Reliance Senior Cup!

After a great result in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, we turn our attention to another competition, as we travel to Herne Bay in the 1st round of the Kent Reliance Senior Cup, 7.45pm kick off.

Caretaker manager Jason Whitmore, and his team will be looking to follow up a great performance from Redhill, before our first home game on Saturday since Danny Lye’s departure.

The hosts were also winners in the Emirates FA Cup at the weekend, as they beat Chessington & Hook United 2-1.

Herne Bay will be familiar opponents for us this season, as we play them away next month in the league, and also host them at home in November.

After winning the Kent Senior Trophy last season, we would’ve competed in the Kent Senior Cup this season anyway, whether we got promoted or not! Last season, Herne Bay had a bye in the 1st round, so started their KRST campaign in the 2nd round, but got knocked out straight away, as eventual champions of the competition Dover Athletic went home 1-0 winners from Winch’s Field.

Safe journey to all of our travelling fans as per usual, details below taken off of Herne Bay’s website!
