Match Preview: Carshalton Athletic We cannot wait for the new competitive season to start and it's almost here! This weekend, Saturday 12th August 3pm kick off, we welcome Carshalton Athletic to Homelands Stadium. After last season’s league success, we’re back and raring to go in this new challenge for Danny Lye and his team. The visitors, finished 6th last season, just 4 points off the play-offs. They’re managed by player-manager Peter Adeniyi and coached by Stuart Searle, who also still plays in goal. Carshalton will certainly be looking for promotion this season and are many fans’ favourites to win the league this coming season, along with the likes of Greenwich, Hastings and Hythe. Danny Stubbs remains on the sidelines with his injury, though we could see the return of Pat Kingwell after he played vs Kennington on Tuesday evening, and perhaps even Matt Day. New signing, forward Tyrell Richardson-Brown has impressed heavily this pre-season, and features in our first match day programme of the 2017/2018 season as we see the return of the ‘Player Profile’ Q&A feature! Our bumper revamped 32 page programme will be available at £2 after the turnstiles, whilst fans can now ‘tick off’ players who appear in each game, on the back cover next to player’s names, as well as making note of the official attendance and final score. We look forward to welcoming fans back to Homelands and especially into the newly refurbished Lancaster bar upstairs!
