George Kamurasi returns to Ashford United

The club are ecstatic to announce the return of club legend George Kamurasi.

George made 86 appearances for the Nuts and Bolts since making his debut on 17th October 2015 keeping a clean sheet away to Sevenoaks Town, and was at the club almost two full years when he played his last match for us on 7th October 2017 in a 3-0 defeat to Sittingbourne.

He kept 31 clean sheets for us in the 7,637 minutes that he played and only conceded 85 goals, which is just less than 1 goal a game – a superb record!

After leaving us earlier this season, Kamurasi linked up with then manager of Greenwich Borough, Gary Alexander who of course is now coach at Homelands, and Gary was keen to bring the wonderful shot-stopper back to Ashford.

“I took George to Greenwich having played against him and now more so having managed him. He’s the type of character I love, he’s a winner on and off the pitch and I couldn’t be happier to be working with him again”

George should be available for tomorrow’s match away to Cray Wanderers.

Welcome back!
