Our U14’s Go Top Of The League!!
The game started very fast, both teams were up for it and were showing good passing all round.
Ashford got the breakthrough from Joshua Forster Naisbitt made it 1-0.
Ramsgate tried very hard to get back into the match but the United defence stood still and strong followed by some very nice passing from Taylan Waterer, he released Alfie Bitmead to take the defence on with a magical run and taking the ball around the goalkeeper and slotted it in to make it 2-0.
Ramsgate managed to pull a goal back though. They played the long Ball which caught the defence out and they got one back however it was the only time we switched off for the whole game.
Second half Ashford United played some really nice football which set Joshua off again who slotted it in to make it 3-1. a
United kept on pushing to try to get another goal but the whole team played excellent and we come away with the 3 points which put us top of the league.
Congratulations to Alfie Bitmead for being voted Players Player and Ramsgates Man Of The Match award.
Manager, Matt Rolfe had this to say about his side this afternoon.
Even when we rest players, we have such diversity. The players can play in any position and are now 2 points clear at the top of the league.
I would also like to say a massive Thank You to my assistants Graham Samways and Shawn Cooper for taking the team why I couldn’t be there this weekend. Also a big Thank You to David Naisbitt who runs the line, week in – week out.
