Keep up to date with all goings-on here at Homelands Park.
Our first game of 2019 welcomes The U’s to Homelands.
This Tuesday 1st January 2019 we host second placed Hastings United at Homelands in The Bostik League South East Division, 3pm kick off.
Hastings may be high up the table but they’re currently 11th in the form table as they’ve lost 3 of their last 6 league matches, picking up 7 points in that time. Last time out they beat Sevenoaks Town 1-0 on Boxing Day at home, but since the end of November they’ve lost to Whyteleafe, East Grinstead Town and Haywards Heath.
The Nuts & Bolts on the other hand, are top of the current form guide, having won 6 of our last 7 games, all undefeated, with our last game being 4-0 winners away to Faversham Town.
Ashford United are now in 6th place, just one point outside of the play-offs, and four points behind our visitors this Tuesday. Hastings’ goal difference currently sits at +15, with Ashford’s just behind at +14.
A win for Hastings would see them move just 8 points behind the league leaders Cray Wanderers, whilst a win for the home side on New Year’s Day would see them move up a definite 2 places, but potentially to 3rd depending on the Horsham vs Guernsey result on the same day.
Thanks to all fans who have been donating to the great cause of the Ashford Winter Night Shelter. Any additional items will be extremely welcomed at this match, specifically in terms of non-perishable food items such as biscuits, sugar and packet snacks for lunch boxes.
Safe journey to all travelling fans, enjoy your day and Happy New Year!
