Fans can now vote for their Ashford United FC player of the month for April 2018.
The four players, as chosen by management staff at Homelands, were all influential last month and helped us pick up 10 points from a possible 18, including 3 wins and our only 2 away league victories of the season.
Dean Grant – Dean scored 4 goals in April, including 2 in our home win over Faversham Town, and one in the first 30 seconds away to Whyteleafe. He also scored in our first away league victory of the season when we beat Chipstead 3-2.
Jordan Johnson-Palmer – ‘Lefty’ had a major role in the middle of the park last month, and was influential going forward. He also scored his first goal for the club when we beat Molesey 3-1 away in our penultimate game of the season.
Joshua Oyinsan – Having joined us in March, Josh went his first two games with a baron spell up front, but ended that as he scored 5 goals in our last 4 matches to end his campaign on a high. At the same time, he equalled the record set by Andrew Dalhouse and Shomari Barnwell for scoring in 4 consecutive matches for Ashford United this season.
Clark Woodcock – Clarky ended March buzzing as he scored his first ever senior goal when he scored versus East Gristead Town away. He took his good form into April as an impact sub versus Faversham Town. After coming on at half time he completed changed the game and we went on to win at our Community Day. He started the following match away to Whyteleafe and caused their defenders plenty of problems. He came off the bench in the next 3 matches versus Greenwich, Chipstead and Molesey, but again caused plenty of problems as he looked dangerous on the wing. He ended the season with a man of the match award for his performance against Walton Casuals on the final day of the season.
Good luck to all 4 players! Vote below or on the home page of the club website…
