Ashford United fans can now vote for the August 2017 player of the month.
Your nominees are:
George Kamurasi – who played the first 3 games of the season, making some very important saves in the 2 league defeats to Carshalton Athletic and South Park, when the scoreline could’ve been a lot worse for the Nuts and Bolts without him, and also in the 3-1 victory over Redhill in the Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round.
Aaron Lee-Wharton – The young shot stopper has looked comfortable in the AUFC goal during the absence of George Kamurasi in the last 3 matches. Looked very impressive in the 2-0 defeat to Herne Bay in the Kent Reliance Senior Cup, and put in some fabulous saves last weekend when we played VCD Athletic, and kept a clean sheet against Sittingbourne on bank holiday Monday.
Tyrell Richardson-Brown – Impressed greatly on his debut against Carshalton Athletic, and has been a great role model for the youngsters over the last month, as he has made the most appearances out of any of the senior players in August, and also scored against VCD Athletic in our 5-2 defeat on Saturday 26th August.
Brandon Williams – Brandon is the only player to have played in all 6 games in August and has impressed every Nuts and Bolts fan this season. He was involved in all 3 goals away to Redhill as he scored one and assisted both goals scored by Matt Day. After impressing, he also signed a new contract last week and is really enjoying his time at the club since progressing through from Jason Whitmore’s Under 23’s development side, and playing a big role in the U18’s last season.
