This Tuesday 10th October 2017, our first team travel down to the West/East border of Sussex as we take on bottom of the Bostik League South Divison table Shoreham FC at The Taxi-Link Community Ground on Middle Road.
Kick off is at 7.45pm, and it’s a 6 pointer for both teams as they will look to move up the table with both having bad starts to the season.
Ashford United currently sit in 21st in the league table, whilst Shoreham are in 24th place. There’s only 3 points between the two sides, with Ashford on 7, though Shoreham would have to win by 4 goals to leapfrog us in the table tomorrow night.
Both have played 10 league games leading up to this match, with the host scoring 7 this season compared to United’s 6, though Shoreham have conceded 29 compared to the Nuts & Bolt’s 20.
In terms of our last 5 games, United have won 1 and lost 4, scoring 3 and conceding 12. Shoreham have won 2 and lost 3, scoring 7 and conceding 12.
Shoreham have conceded 7 goals in a match twice this season, including last Saturday when they lost 7-1 to Egham Town. Shoreham have also only kept one clean sheet this season, when they beat 10 man Greenwich Borough 1-0 on the 23rd September at home.
