Match Preview: Molesey

The first of our Easter weekend clashes

This weekend, Saturday 31st March 2018, we travel away to Surrey to take on Molesey FC, in the first of our Easter weekend clashes, 3pm kick off.

With just 6 games remaining of this season for Ashford, we will be looking to end on a high and pick up our first away win of the season.

Our match versus Molesey should be our best opportunity from the 3 away matches that are still left to be played, as this weekend’s opposition sit below us in the table, but Whitmore’s side won’t be complacent going into the match.

When we met at Homelands back on 9th September, the away side went home 1-0 winners as they faced an Ashford side who were readjusting after the initial forced revamp in the squad.

As we sit 22nd in the table, Molesey are in 23rd just 6 points behind us but with 2 games in hand over ourselves.

They played on Thursday 29th March evening, at home to league leaders Lewes and lost 4-0.

In their last 5 games, they have scored 4 goals and conceded 19, drawing once and losing 4 times in that period. Their goal difference is -44, slightly better than our -52.

Good luck to the team and safe journey to our travelling supporters, address below…
