We are delighted to welcome Dave Cook back to Homelands for his 3rd spell as an Ashford United player as he was with us in the 13/14 and 15/16 seasons.

Dave made his AUFC debut on 7th January 2014 against Erith Town at Home in the SCEFL Challenge Cup 2nd round.

In his United career he previously made 20 appearances scoring 4 goals, with his last game being at Home to Lordswood in the SCEFL on the 22nd September 2015.

Dave has given us his words this afternoon upon returning to the Nuts & Bolts:

“I’m buzzing and literally can’t wait to get back into Ryman {Bostik} football. I spent the last 8/9 years playing in this league and to finally do it for my home town and with one of my best mates (Pat Kingwell) is a special moment for me. The club, like Gary and Jason have said is a “sleeping giant”, the potential is ridiculous through all the ages from youth to 1st team it is a proper club ready to move on. After I approached Jason and Gary and chatted to them both it was a no brainer. I know the club and majority of the board, the fans are unreal and I’m a local lad that’s hoping to help this club move on and get to where they want to be. I’ve been at Hythe for 10 years with two shorts spells away, I have made some friends for life and made some memories I will never forget, but I left under personal reasons which I thought was the right decision for me and my family. I would like to thank all the fans and most of the members for my time there.”

Welcome back, Dave!
