After many months of hard work we are delighted to finally unveil our new online home, which offers a vastly-improved user experience for Ashford United supporters.

As our club grows, so does our fan base, and we want to make it as easy as possible for fellow Nuts & Bolts to keep up-to-date with latest information and goings on around Homelands Park.

Website editor, Alex Perseval says:

“I’d like to thank everyone involved with the club for their patience, especially with the scrolling banner that has occupied the website for what feels like a very long time in recent months, hopefully it has been worth the wait!
Working with local web designer Alan Hart, we feel the new site is more modern, much cleaner in terms of finding information, and will stand out among the majority of football club’s at our level. This could have been launched months ago but we felt we didn’t want to rush anything as we wanted it to be to a high standard, and the start of the season is an ideal time to start afresh!”

In recent times, we have listened to feedback from fans about what they want to see on the website, and whilst having to overcome many obstacles along the way, we hope this is a much bigger improvement on what you have been used to.

As a result, we have increased the exposure of our community side (Ashford United 3rds), whilst also adding in a new section for our Academy & Youth systems. Though the pages are there, there is currently no information for the Academy and Youth systems on the site at present, but this will be added in the very near future as we wanted to majority of the website to be launched before the start of the competitive season for 2018/2019.

It is important for us to be more involved with the local community, so a dedicated events page is live (with more events to be added on this page soon!) for people to see what is upcoming at Homelands such as music nights, community events and charity football matches.

An old feature remains, but this time it will remain updated. The player profiles feature is back. With plenty of new faces on the pitch at Ashford United, we feel it’s very important for our fans to know exactly who they are watching. Though that will come with time as the season goes on, it’ll make life a little easier for fans to get to know the squad via the website with this feature. Again, as the season hasn’t quite started, the player info (such as birthdays, previous clubs, etc) hasn’t been added to these individual player profiles as of yet but this will be in the near future once the season has started.

Other new pages such as the ‘100 Club’, ‘Mascots’ & ‘Volunteers’ can all be found within the new ‘Fan Zone’ section of the website, to encourage fans of young & old alike to get involved in the fantastic community that is the Ashford United fan base.

We hope you enjoy reading, watching and trawling through our new website. As the website is very early days, we’re certain that fans will probably spot some mistakes, whether it’s content based or development based, there will be a few teething problems naturally in the next couple of weeks, but we will be aiming to keep these to an absolute minimum.

With that in-mind we are keen to hear feedback from fans, so if you have any comments or suggestions about the new website, please get in contact by emailing marketing@ashfordunitedfc.com.
